EU external borders: Irregular border crossings fall 25% in first two months of 2025   The number of irregular border crossings into the European Union dropped by 25 % in the first two months of 2025, to nearly 25 000, according to preliminary data collected by Frontex*. While most routes saw a decrease in the number of arrivals, the Central Mediterranean route defied the trend.

  AUSTRIA's FLAG After long negotiations, a new three-party government has taken office in Austria. It consists of the Christian Democratic ÖVP, the Social Democratic SPÖ and the liberal NEOS. The new Chancellor is the ÖVP leader CHRISTIAN STOCKER (64 years old). The parties have agreed on a program that includes: 1. Ensures a limited budget deficit 2. Reduces illegal immigration 3. Increases the competitiveness of business 4. Strengthens EU cooperation  

  UKRAINE FREMOVER Mine tanker efter Trumps utrolige opførsel i går Der skal godt nok meget til, før ørerne falder af – som vi kimbrere siger ! Men præsident Trumps opførsel over for sin gæst, præsident Zelenski, i går fik godt nok ørerne til i det mindste at rokke sig en del ☹ For det første starter man ikke et velment møde med at kritisere sin gæsts påklædning. Det gjorde Trump. Nå, du er nok klædt om ! , sagde han hånende. Zelenski, der er leder af et land, der i tre år har været overfaldet af Rusland, har altid dette battle dress på.   Det er vel hans måde at vise solidaritet med sine kæmpende landsmænd på. For det andet drejede mødet sig ikke først og fremmest om, at Zelenski skulle sige stor tak for den amerikanske indsats. Det var åbenbart det, amerikanerne forventede. Det havde han i øvrigt gjort ved 33 andre lejligheder.   De er så   selvfikserede og så overlegne, at de ikke bare forventer en underdanig takkestrøm fra lederen af et land i krig, men...
