NEW AUSTRIAN 3-PARTY GOVERNMENT IN PLACE

 


AUSTRIA's FLAG

After long negotiations, a new three-party government has taken office in Austria. It consists of the Christian Democratic ÖVP, the Social Democratic SPÖ and the liberal NEOS.

The new Chancellor is the ÖVP leader CHRISTIAN STOCKER (64 years old).


The parties have agreed on a program that includes:

1. Ensures a limited budget deficit

2. Reduces illegal immigration

3. Increases the competitiveness of business

4. Strengthens EU cooperation
